Ho Ho Oh Bearz Online Show

  • Mood:

Once again this year, NCTB will be hosting the Ho Ho Oh BearZ online show.  Last year, we had over 275,000 hits,  and over 1500 unique visitors in a 12 hour time frame.

This year, the show will be a little different.  It'll still be juried, so that you can expect only the highest quality of artist creations but, it will run a little longer, and in a slightly different format.   It'll also be more affordable to participate, and I hope to have lots of aritst on baord with us!

If you think you might be interested in participating, please drop me a line using the contact link on the bottom of most NCTB pages.  (The little orange links on the very bottom.)   I'll add you to the mail out list for jury submissions and send you participant packages.

hugs from the she-bear

Do You Teach Workshops?

In updating the NCTB site, I thought it would be appropriate to add a page under the resources section that included workshops being taught around the country.    So ... if you currently teach workshops, in your home or elsewhere, please let me know and I'll add your workshops to the new resources page.   I hope to have something posted by mid  September.

You can either drop me a comment here (just scroll down,) or email me using the contact link at the bottom of most NCTB pages.  It's a little orange link that you may need a magnifying glass to see.

Hope to get lots of response!

Happy Labour Day

Happy Labour Day everyone!   I can't believe the summer is over!  The kids are back to school, and the time for sitting on the deck and soaking up the sun...recharging the batteries is over.  Back to the business of bears!  Christmas is just around the corner too, and that will call for a bevy of bears.

Around this time of year I always feel like going for walks. Especially at night. I love the way the street lamps on the narrow residential streets shines through the leaves on the trees, casting haunting silhouettes.   As September progresses and the leaves fall, the scene is absolutely mesmorizing.  I must remember to take my camera on one of these walks!

It's also a time for new beginnings.  Time to learn a new skill...this year for me, it's fabric texturing.  I've also been tossing around the idea of finishing my music degree,  or even taking a sculpting course.    Of course I always get the urge to take classes in September, but then I look at the calendar, and realistically, it isn't always possible.  Ah well.  maybe when I retire?

Here at the EbearZ U, I have a number of new classes waiting in the wings for bear and doll making students.   There's even a web design class which is the first of the new lineup to open.  It'll have a section on creating your own blog too.

On a personal note,  I had a lot of company visiting this summer, beginning in early June.  In August, my in-laws came to visit, and while here, my father-in-law fell ill with pancreatic cancer.  He's been hospitalized here, and my mother-in-law will be staying with us as the amazing people in our Regional Health Sciences Center to their very best to make him comfortable.

Please feel free to pop me a note here on the blog.  Comments, suggestions, quesitons regarding the site, B4B or ebearz...they're all welcome!

Off to make some bears now!

hugs,

nt/  aka she-bear
